When I first saw a picture on Pinterest of the Sanspariel Rock Garden & the Zwernitz Castle I thought to myself, "Wait, did I read that correctly, a rock garden?" What on earth could be interesting about a garden of rocks? Well, let me tell you! This garden is not your typical garden. It is made up of many natural interesting rock formations that you will see along fairytale trails that are scattered with lush green moss covered trees & staircases that lead you upon hills where very old buildings once sat. These buildings once offered a view of the castle but now offer a vew of the towering tree tops that stretch upward towards the sun.
The garden also features an oriental building & an old theater. Looking onto the theater you can see the light playfully dancing off of the stone faces that are carved into the arches. You can imagine people dancing across the stage with glee & people laughing in unison in the audience. The Zwernitz Castle up the path features a small museum with hunting weapons like guns, swords, & deer mounts. It also features furniture & knight armor. The tower of the castle reveals a beautiful view upon climbing many stairs and reaching the top.
