Not many probably think to do a tour of the Houses of Parliament; however, it could prove to be the best part of your trip if you enjoy history and politics. The tours are also appropriate for those of us who tend not to follow politics as much. You can watch committees and attend a debate if you request a place in advance.
There is an audio tour that you can take if you do not like guided tours. The audio tour allows for you to go at your own pace. The history permeates throughout the building. The view from across the river is just as amazing as the tour.
Across from the building we saw a memorial dedicated to Joe Cox who was an important political Labour MP, killed by an extremist only a week or so prior to our visit. It was beautiful and touching to see this as well. All of our prayer for Britain & her family. Unfortunately, the killer may have made an impact by murdering her to make the Brexit happen. It seems Britain already is regretting their decision of a Brexit.
