I think I first heard about The Leaning Tower of Pisa from The Goofy Movie in which Max's friend uses Cheese Wiz to make a "Leaning Tower of Cheeza." I honestly never thought I would see it for myself in person, but I am so glad I did. It was a very chill side trip on our way to Rome. We arrived around 8:00 in the morning & the touristy shops were just setting up & only 3-4 people were posing at the tower. I highly suggest going early in the morning. I also want to mention that most of my photos were taken from the less popular direction of the tower due to me not wanting to take photographs directly into the sun.
My bestie & I spent about 5 minutes taking photos of ourselves posing & shots of the building and then we walked to the cafe next to the fountain and had a cappuccino & chocolate croissant. I thought with the place being so close to a touristy spot it wouldn't be so great, but it surprised me greatly. It was scrumptious & exactly what we needed after a long ride. We did not go up the tower due to being on a time restraint. I am hoping to go up the tower in the future though. You can get your tickets HERE.
