I have never stayed in a hotel or resort that I was excited to stay in the way that I fell in love with Lucille's. We stayed in Room #5 for our honeymoon night. The panoramic mountain view was stunning and the tub and fireplace was romantic. I was excited about the dual shower heads because we could quickly shower and head out to downtown Helen. Having internet and being able to watch cable TV after a long day out shopping and dining was nice as well.
My favorite thing about the hotel was the killer view from the dining room and the deck. You could get Coca-Cola, ice water, and fresh water with squeezed oranges all day long without an extra fee and swing on the patio talking over the sound of the birds.
Since were are foodies we grabbed some of the evening desserts even though we had already ordered the cheese platter, champagne, a few beers, and chocolate covered strawberries. Thus the reason why I got super sick on our honeymoon night, haha. They also had coffee and teas which we indulged in the next morning. The breakfast was phenomenal and they use fresh ingredients that are from local farms, farmer’s markets, or picked fresh from their own garden.
If you are looking for a romantic and relaxing stay in the mountains I can not recommend Lucille's enough. The staff was extremely pleasant and accommodating. I hope to stay with them again after we move back to the states from Europe.
