Mittenwald's Church of St. Peter & St. Paul

St. Peter's & St. Paul's Church was built in the early 1700's. Matthias Guenther is the famous Bavarian painter that was in charge of painting the outside of this stunning church while Josef Schumzer, known for his Baroque architecture, designed the church. The walls are elaborately decorated with frescoes and the inside adorned with paintings and filigree so stunning it will make your heart burst with happiness.

I highly suggest visiting if you're near Garmisch. It's free, open to the public, and a beautiful way to relax after time spent walking the mountainous views of Mittenwald.
