If you are expecting a market that screams Easter you will be disappointed. However, if you are looking for a market that screams spring with fresh flowers, wreaths, crafts, house decor, baskets, & the occasional wooden, glass, or hand painted egg along the way you will be pleased. The market is definitely worth a visit and has 80 stalls. It is also Nuremberg’s oldest market and began in 1318 in Meistersinger city.
The market also features special fresh homemade German foods. Some even have cooking demonstrations. The castle walls & old cathedrals surrounding the market make it furthermore appealing and unique in comparison to other Easter markets. If you go to take photos, be weary because a lot of the vendors do not allow pictures to be taken.
All of the items below were from one stand. The lady selling the items was very kind.
