If you love fossils take a trip to Munich's paleontology museum. Not only is the museum free, but it is located very closely to many other museums. It includes 3 floors of well preserved dinosaur fossils and plants.
My favorite to take photographs of were the woolly mammoth and the Triceratops. It was well lit and nicely laid out in an intriguing manner. While walking up the staircases you could view more fossils that were built into the walls. These included giant Parana looking fish & other sea creatures. Overall, it's a great way to spend the afternoon in Munich.
