I have loved carnivals ever since I was a little girl. There is something about the over the top performances that I adore. Thomas & I visited the Widenreuth Christmas Market & that is exactly what it reminded me of. When we walked up to the gate the first thing we saw was Santa on stilts and a bicycle riding around. As we walked further in we grabbed a bag of roasted chestnuts & Gluhbeir, mesmerized by the camel, donkey, and ponies children were riding. Further in as we were shopping we came to a barn with the most darling calf and alpacas. Afterwards we stopped at a magic show, fire show, and a band performance. This market is definitely children oriented. Between the archery, face painting, and crafts you can keep your children or the young at heart like myself entertained all while roaming inside & outside of the beautiful castle grounds.
