The Lourve is one museum with art that I've always really wanted to see. It holds the Mona Lisa, which is a painting I have found interesting for a very long time due to her history of being stolen. What I didn't realize is how there wasn't a line to visit her, but instead many layers of people. We pushed our way through for a solid 20 minutes, sweating, as one man took about 50 selfies with her. Please, don't be that person.
All I wanted was one shot of her & this guy was hogging up the area. I think that the fact that it's taped off about 10 feet from the painting makes it almost worse. Security continuously had to yell at people to back up. What a mess that entire situation was. I did get my photo though & you can see it at the very end of this post.
I highly suggest that you buy your tickets online HERE like I did. We got to pass everybody in line even though the wait was an hour long. The Lourve was one of the last things we did & by that point I was so exhausted that I didn't even care to see anything except for The Mona Lisa. This museum could seriously take up your entire day ,so plan your time wisely & accordingly. Most people suggest only seeing the things that are absolute MUSTS for you. Either way it will be a wonderful afternoon spent.
