We selected the Big Zombie Tour 2 with the Atlanta Movie Tour company. It was hosted by a girl who was a walker a few times on the show. Although this wasn't as cool to us since we have a friend who does stunts & is also a walker on the show, this was really interesting to many of our fellow fans on the tour. It did make for authentic stories about the actors & behind the scenes information.
We browsed the Woodbury shop since that's where our tour started. I bought a book with TWD filming locations, so we could explore them on our own time. We not only drove by many buildings that filming had occurred at, but we stopped in one town too that had multiple places that filming had taken place. The pace was just right & it didn't feel too rushed or too slow, so that was a bonus since I can be impatient with tour groups.
I have terrible memory & so one thing that I appreciated was that they replayed on the screens the scenes prior to seeing the location. They also did trivia questions for prizes & my husband won a promotional tote bag. We were captivated when we finished our tour that we got to watch the live recording for a new episode. We watched the live filming for awhile comfortably without many people around which was really an entertaining experience & a perfect way to end the tour.
